![Director, Mr. Median LaRocque]()
Mr. Median LaRocque is the Director of the Dominica Bureau of Standards (the Bureau).
Mr. LaRocque holds a Master of Science Degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of the West Indies and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Science from La Universidad Agraria De La Habana.
He has over ten (10) years of experience in Quality Assurance and he has served as Process Control Manager in Smithfield Foods in Springfield, Massachusetts and Quality /Sanitation Manager at Maramount Corporation in Brooklyn, New York. He also served as a Produce Chemist and Agricultural Extension Officer in the Ministry of Agriculture in Dominica.
Mr. LaRocque has also received extensive training in HACCP, OSHA, Pesticide Management, USDA and FDA Regulatory and Compliance as well as Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary (PSP) Measures. In addition, he has served as an SQF Lead Auditor.
Mr. LaRocque brings also his management ability to the Bureau having managed a large complement of staff on various levels and with various cultural backgrounds.
